Food was okay but the place is overhyped.

Food and ambience was great! Loved it I found the chocolate peanut butter smoothie a little too 'banana'y for me

The food is just amazing! Perfect place to visit on a lazy day for brunch as you get to try a lot more items on the menu. Don't miss out on the B&C toast and make sure to try the smoothie bowls and breakfast wrap. And be mindful when ordering as the portions are pretty huge! Will definitely keep going back and highly recommended! Really wish they had more eggless options to choose from their viennoiseries though.

Poor service.

The food and ambience are better than average, prices moderate, but smile and service non existent. 6 to 7 employees at the counter doing pretty much nothing and don't seem to be aware of customers

The chocolate pancake was yum....the breakfast hash n Summertime tartine was ok.... nothing great....latino latte was good....don't expect bacon n sausages ....all u get is egg....my freinds wer disappointed .....wanted to try out ....pricey...the place is nicely done up....cool place to hang out.

A nice cafe to meet and to have cinnamon rolls, croissants and apple tarts. Earlier there used to be restaurant called Bharat Bistro there which closed due to Covid 19. So went there thinking of BB but found B&C instead. Was pleasantly surprised. Tasty and delightful baked goods.

Craving for some desserts? This is the place to go. The desserts are delicious. This place has a welcoming atmosphere and a very friendly staff.

The variety is definitely something that is not available anywhere in Chennai but I honestly thought the croissant could have had more chocolate.. It was a little too less for my taste or understanding... But the sandwiches and the babka were awesome

Best place for Vegans and Vegetarians. Coffee and pasteries are really good! Could have a non-veg menu too :/

Was quite excited about this place, however it was a little bit of a disappointment. Personally I like the Auroville one better. The sourdough bread was super dry and was difficult to bite into.

The kitchen closes at 5PM, although the cafe is open till 8. We went in by 4.45 and were able to have only hot chocolate. The place is well lit. Its a perfect for some relaxing- book reading- movie watching- catching up with buddies kinda place. The variety of food is a little disappointing. Service could be better too.

Even though it's usually loaded with people, they have a very welcoming atmosphere with the aroma of freshly prepared coffee fusing with the smell of croissants getting baked in the kitchen. This is a good place in Chennai for people who love healthy, vegan, and vegetarian food. The ambiance is good and the service is quick. I visited this cafe with my friend and I had a great time here while dining for a morning breakfast. Thankfully I was able to get my hands on some of the few bakes. Butter baked Croissant, Sourdough bread tofu toast, Pain Au Chocolat, and banana muffin cake. Bread and Chocolate is a lovely breakfast cafe with a freshly baked food smell and a comforting atmosphere. I would say that this place is slightly crowded but the food served here is exquisite.

The one in Pondicherry has always been everyone's favorite, this branch? Not so much. It is so beautiful and really transforms your experience with its set up , however it is in the high end of prices and the quality could be much much better. It seems rather over hyped in Chennai (However Its GREAT at Pondi). Maybe we just need to give them some time to set to our taste buds!?

Nice place to visit. But for normal ppl it's little bit costly. But good place for a couple date and also for the coffee lovers and their baking breads r damn good 👍🏻

Having tried (and loved) B&C in Auroville twice in three days, we went with great anticipation to the Chennai outlet. We ordered two sandwiches - the bread itself was excellent. However, the olive tapenade in the one tasted as though it was made of olives that had seen better days. The sandwich was accompanied by kimchee which just did NOT pair well with either of the Italian inspired sandwiches. I give this a three star based on the chocolate tart which daughter had. She said it was very well done. ALL the pastries have egg in them. As an enthusiastic baker, I know that many of the items CAN be made equally well, with a tad extra effort, eggless. Looking forward to that day.

Good Ambience and Good Food

This physical space used to house Bharath cafe. Now its bread and chocolate .. and it's really delicious. I had the chocolate bread and wolfed it down. It was that tasty. Look forward to trying the food there.
